Trespassing Suspect Resists Elk Grove Police, Gets Arrested

A Sacramento man was arrested last night after he allegedly was caught trespassing and resisting police officers.

Shortly after 9 p.m yesterday Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Mykonos Way regarding a suspicion person in a backyard. When officers arrived, they observed 20-year old Eric Morrison of Sacramento exiting the backyard by way of a side gate.

When an officer attempted to detain Morrison, he reportedly pulled his arms away and began walking backwards away from the officer. After Morrison was taken to the ground, he continued to physically resist officers by keeping his hands under his body in an attempt to avoid being handcuffed.

Morrison was subsequently handcuffed and taken into custody. Morrison also provided false information about his identity. He was placed under a citizen’s arrest for trespassing then booked into the county jail where he is in custody on a $5,000 bail.
