Routine Traffic Stop By Elk Grove Police Snags Two Wanted Suspects

Two men got a bit more than they probably expected yesterday morning after a traffic stop by Elk Grove Police.

According to police reports, 50-year old Silvestre Delgado of Sacramento was operating a vehicle on the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. In the car with Delgado was 25-year old Rafael Ferreira of Sacramento.

A records check revealed that both men had outstanding warrants out for their arrest. Both suspects were taken into custody and taken to the county jail were both remain in custody.
