Unknown Suspect Claims to be have Gun During Elk Grove Shoplifting Incident

An unknown shoplifting suspect evaded apprehension yesterday after he claimed to be in possession of  a gun.

According to Elk Grove Police, an unknown suspect was observed shoplifting an alcoholic beverage inside the Bev Mo store on West Stockton Boulevard. When the suspect left the store, he was confronted by a store employee and claimed to have a gun.

After the employee backed-off, the suspect fled in a blue four door vehicle. The suspect is described as a black male adult, 350 lbs., 6'2" tall and about 40 to 50 years of age and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
