Unknown Suspects Attempt Gunpoint Robbery on Elk Grove Street

An attempted robbery was thwarted by a passing car on Sunday night in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove police, an 18-year old man was walking his dog near Blue Maiden Way and Prairie Smoke Court when a silver four door vehicle stopped in front of him. The suspects exited the vehicle with one brandishing a long gun and the other a knife, and demanded property.

During the incident, a neighbor drove onto the street and interrupted the robbery. The suspects fled in a vehicle driven by a third unknown suspect. No physical descriptions of the suspects is currently available.
