An Elk Grove man remain in custody after a domestic violence incident where the victim was dragged into a field.
According to Elk Grove Police, at 2;06 Saturday morning 26-year old Christopher Grant was waiting on the doorstep of his victim's residence. Grant then reportedly started shouting at the victim, then dragged the victim into a nearby field.
When the victim tried to get away, Grant allegedly grabbed the victim from behind and cover the victim's mouth. The victim was eventually able to break free and ran home.
The victim has an active restraining order on Grant. The suspect fled the location but was located later that evening when he was arrested.
Grant remains in custody at the county jail on a $50,000 bail.
