Elk Grove Domestic Violence Suspect Held on Outstanding Warrant

An Elk Grove mother suspected of domestic violence is being held in custody on an arrest warrant from Southern California.

According to Elk Grove Police, 34-year old Coleen Ward was involved in a verbal argument with a family member. During the course of the argument, Ward allegedly slapped her 10-year old daughter in the face and left the residence. 

When she returned, Ward was detained and a record search revealed she had an active arrest warrant from San Bernardino County. The suspect was arrested and booked in the county jail where she remains in custody.
