Elk Grove Police announced the arrest of the suspect wanted for the Tuesday afternoon robbery of U.S. Bank located at 5000 Laguna Boulevard.
During the course of their investigation, detectives developed information that 45-year-old Sheldon Watson was responsible for the bank robbery. Detectives were also able to connect Watson to a previous robbery that had taken place on June 16, 2010 at Walgreens (7299 Laguna Blvd).
On July 8, 2010, at 6:20 p.m., suspect Sheldon Watson was taken into custody at his Elk Grove residence and booked into the Sacramento County jail on two felony counts of robbery.
No photo of the suspect has been made available due to the ongoing investigation. Police ask anyone with additional information regarding these robberies is asked to call the department’s detective bueau at (916) 478-8060.
