Probationer Held on $580,000 Bail Following Alleged Elk Grove Shoplifting Incident



A 55-year old woman is being held on a $580,000 bail after an Elk Grove shoplifting incident.


Yesterday afternoon Evelyn Alfred (pictured above) was arrested by Elk Grove Police after she allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the Bruceville Road Walmart store. Responding officers discovered that Alfred was on probation.

The suspect is being held on $580,000 bail for prior petty theft, grand theft, burglary, robbery and theft/embezzlement from an elder/adult dependent by non-caretaker. Alfred is scheduled for arraignment 
tomorrow afternoon.
