Elk Grove Police Arrest Probationer on Suspicion of Shoplifting at Walmart

A Sacramento man is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail for violating his probation and alleged shoplifting.

Manolito Era Alcantara was detained last night by loss prevention personnel at the Bruceville Road Walmart after he allegedly was observed shoplifting merchandise. An Elk Grove Police officer contacted the suspect and found that he was on probation. 

A search of Alcantara led to the discovery of a controlled substance. Alcantara was arrested and is being held on $20,000 bail with a Monday afternoon arraignment.
