Twin Rivers School District Teacher Arrested on Suspicion of Molesting Student

In May of 2015, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department was alerted to allegations of an inappropriate sexual relationship between Mysti Moriah Lingenfelter, 38, of Fair Oaks and a 14 year old (at that time) male victim.

Lingenfelter was a teacher at Foothill Ranch Middle School in Sacramento, and the allegations were
that these incidents occurred during the 2011-2012 school year. The male victim was a student of hers during that time. The Twin Rivers Unified School District was notified of the allegations, and immediately placed Lingenfelter on administrative leave pending the investigation. Detectives of the Sheriff’s Department Child Abuse Bureau investigated the case.

The case was turned over to the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for Lingenfelter’s arrest. Lingenfelter turned herself into the Sacramento County Jail on December 8, 2015 on an outstanding felony warrant for lewd acts on a child of 14 or 15 years old and oral copulation with a person under 16 years of age. Lingenfelter posted $50,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Sacramento Superior Court on December 15, 2015.

Detectives are asking anyone with information relating to this incident or Lingenfelter, to please contact the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
