An Elk Grove man was arrested early Monday morning on three felony charges following an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to Elk Grove Police, 50-year old Amandeep Sohal was involved in an argument with his victim that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the confrontation, Sohal threatened and choked the victim that resulted in visible injuries.
Sohal also allegedly prevented his victim from leaving the residence for a two day period. Sohal was arrested for assault, domestic violence and false imprisonment and has been released on bail.
The victim was granted an emergency protective order.
