New Judge Appointed to Sacramento Superior Court

Gov. Jerry Brown announced several Superior Court appointments today, including one for Sacramento.

Today's appointment to the bench is , 58, of Sacramento. A partner at Mennemeier Glassman LLP since 1997, he was a shareholder at the Diepenbrock Law Firm from 1995 to 1997 and a partner at Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP from 1989 to 1995, where he was an associate from 1983 to 1988. Mennemeier was an associate at Latham and Watkins from 1982 to 1983 and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert Boochever at the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, from 1981 to 1982. 

He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University. Mennemeier fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Roland L. Candee. He is a Democrat. The compensation for this position is $189,041.
