Elk Grove Police Arrest Probationer For Passing Phony Currency

A Sacramento woman was arrested last night after she tried to pass a phony check at an Elk Grove grocery store.
According to Elk Grove Police, 36-year old June Corley attempted to purchase goods at the Winco grocery store on Sheldon Road using counterfeit currency. Corley was arrested by responding officers and booked into the county jail.

Corley is being held on felony charges of attempting to pass a worthless check and violation of probation. her bail is set at $45,000 and there is currently no arraignment date.
