An 18-year old woman sustained minor injuries following a drive-by shooting in the parking lot of an Elk Grove movie theater.
According to Elk Grove Police, two groups of individuals were in an altercation inside the Century Theaters on Big Horn Boulevard. After both groups were ordered out of the theater, the fight continued in the parking lot.
A large group congregated on the north side of the parking lot when an unknown vehicle approached them and an unknown Black male adult suspect exited the car and fired a handgun towards the group. After firing the gun, the suspect got back in the car which fled the scene.
he suspect vehicle was described as being a
red four-door vehicle. The victim suffered a superficial gunshot wound to the lower torso.
