Elk Grove Woman Charged With Assault Following Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

An Elk Grove woman is being held on assault with a deadly weapons charges at the Sacramento County Jail following a Monday morning domestic violence incident.

According to Elk Grove Police, 20-year old  was involved in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the confrontation the suspect allegedly punched and attempted to stab the victim with a fork resulting in a visible injury.

The victim was granted a emergency protective order and  was arrested and booked into the county jail. She is being held on $50,000 bail and is charged with felony assault with deadly weapon.
