An Elk Grove man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of possessing a stolen handgun.
According to Elk Grove Police, 20-year old Reynaldo Parra was contacted while seated in a car sitting on the 5100 block of Laguna Boulevard. Upon contact, the
strong odor of marijuana emanated from inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery a
handgun and a records check revealed that it had been reported stolen. Parra was arrested then
transported to the main jail.
