Elk Grove Police Arrest Wanted Suspect After Short Vehicle, Foot Pursuit

A Sacramento man was arrested early Friday afternoon after he led police on a short vehicle and foot pursuit.

According to Elk Grove Police, 43-year old Donald Libed was operating a car with an expired registration. When the officer attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, the suspect did not yield.

Libed allegedly did not stop and led the police car on a short pursuit. The suspect then pulled the car into a residential driveway and attempted to flee on foot to the interior of the residence.

The suspect came out of the residence and was arrested. A record search found Libed had three outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Libed was taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on $57,500 bail.
