Two Elk Grove Teens Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary

Two Elk Grove teenagers were arrested early last night on suspicion of a residential burglary.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the 9400 block of Bowmont Way regarding an in-progress residential burglary. The caller indicated that the suspects had entered the backyard and removed the screen from the callers window.

When the suspects heard the caller, they both fled on foot. Officers located the 15 and 16-year old males who matched the description provided, a short distance away from the original scene. Both suspects were detained without incident.

A consent search of the 16-year old suspect’s backpack led to the discovery of burglary tools. Both suspects were taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.
