Two Elk Grove teenagers
were arrested early last night on suspicion of a residential burglary.
According to Elk Grove
Police, officers were dispatched to the 9400 block of Bowmont Way regarding an in-progress
residential burglary. The caller indicated that the suspects had
entered the backyard and removed the screen from the callers window.
When the suspects heard the caller, they both fled on foot.
Officers located the 15 and 16-year old males who matched the description
provided, a short distance away from the original scene. Both suspects were
detained without incident.
A consent search of the 16-year old suspect’s backpack led to
the discovery of burglary tools. Both suspects were taken into custody then
transported to juvenile hall.
