An Elk Grove man accused of embezzlement was also hit with narcotics charges yesterday.
According to Elk Grove Police, 59-year old Muhammad Silmi was operating a vehicle near Bond Road and Terra Linda Drive when he was stopped following a report that the vehicle had been embezzled. After Silmi was detained, a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics.
The suspect was arrested on embezzlement and narcotics charges and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on those charges as well as violating parole.
