Parolee Leads Elk Grove Police on Short Vehicle Pursuit

An Elk Grove parolee lead Elk Grove Police and parole officers on a short vehicle pursuit yesterday morning.


According to police reports, police learned that active parolee 28-year-old Arthur Brooks had an at-large active warrant and was at a residence on the 1000 block of Willard Parkway. Officers attempted to stop Brooks who had gained an access to a vehicle and after he failed to stop, lead officers on a short pursuit.

The pursuit ended on the 9900 block of Bruceville Road when Brooks was unable to drive through a gate that would not open. The suspect was arrested without incident then transported to the main jail where he remains in custody and ineligible for bail.
