Suspect Arrested After Beating Victim in Domestic Violence Incident

A Sacramento man was arrested yesterday afternoon in a domestic violence incident.


According to Elk Grove Police, 22-year old Amari Gaffney was involved in a verbal argument with his victim that escalated into a physical confrontation. Gaffney allegedly punched the victim in the head several times.

The vicitm fled the room and was pursued by Gaffney who broke down the door to enter the room. 
The suspect then choked, kicked, hit and bit V-1 several times.

The victim suffered visible injuries. Gaffney was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
