Elk Grove Police arrested a suspect drunk who had stolen a car early Monday morning.
According to police department reports, 27-year-old Travis McDonald of Elk Grove was operating a car that crashed into a center median on Elk Grove Florin Road near Elk Grove Blvd. who then fled the scene on foot. Responding officers quickly located the suspect hiding in nearby bushes.
McDonald was found to be in possession of of the keys to the vehicle he crashed and was identified by witnesses. the suspect was also displayed objective signs of impairment.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail were he was released on bail.
