Suspect also had drugs, two active arrest warrants
An Elk Grove Police officer caught a person suspected of stealing a car early Thursday morning.
According to police department reports, the officer saw a car being driven by 27-year-old Raymond Rosaroso of Sacramento on southbound Highway 99 that had been reported stolen.
As the he was being taken into custody, the suspect reportedly tried to discard narcotics. An inspection of the vehicle found narcotics paraphernalia and shaved keys.
A record search also found that Rosaroso had two active arrest warrants. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
