Elk Grove Police Catch Burglary Fleeing Scene

Also had Counterfeit money

Elk Grove Police caught a suspected burglar as he was fleeing the scene on Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, a witness reported seeing a person trying to break into a residence on the 5700 block of Birch Tree Court. Responding officers detained 18-year old Tre Rule of Sacramento as he was fleeing the location.

Officers confirmed that a side window of the residence was broken in an attempt to gain access. A search of Rule found him in the possession of a screwdriver and a search of his vehicle led to the discover of two counterfeit twenty dollar bills. Rule was arrested and transferred to the main jail.

In other activity, police report three other arrests.

Officers contacted two Stockton men after they were discovered on private property on the White Peacock Way. The suspects, 34-year old Johnny Olds and 30-year old Oudone Dougangmala were found to be in possession of stolen property. Both were arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Police also arrested a 15-year old juvenile male on the 8300 block of Laguna Palms Way who was in possession of stolen property. The suspect was arrested and transferred to juvenile hall.
