Elk Grove Traffic Stop Leads to Apprehension of Suspect With Outstanding Warrants

A routine traffic stop last night in Elk Grove led to the arrest of a suspect with outstanding arrest warrants.

Just before 8:30 last night, Elk Grove Police stopped a vehicle being driving by 24-year old D'Vontrigue Davidson of Sacramento on the 9100 block of East Stockton Boulevard for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, the odor of marijuana reportedly emanated from inside the vehicle.

Davidson then allegedly gave false information about his identity to officers who then detained him. After his real name was obtained, a records check revealed that Davidson had an active warrant out for his arrest.

Davidson was booked into the county jail and subsequently released.
