An Elk Grove man was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly hit an 89-year old woman.
According to Elk Grove Police, officer investigated an incomplete 911 call on the 8400 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road and found that an 89-year old woman who alleged that 24-year old William Valenzuela of Elk Grove had punched her in the head once. When officers contacted the suspect, he allegedly threw a TV remote control and hit one of the officers in the head.
When officers attempted to detain Valenzuela, he resisted and pulled away. Officers overcame the resistance and were able to take the suspect into custody.
Valenzuela was arrested and booked into the county jail.
