Trevon Darrell Brown
On Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 6:16 p.m. Sacramento Police Gang enforcement officers were in the area of Rio Linda Blvd. near Eleanor Ave. and came upon a subject that the officers knew to be a validated gang member with an outstanding felony arrest warrant.

Upon seeing the officers, Trevon Darrell Brown immediately fled on foot to a parked vehicle and drove off westbound on Eleanor Avene. The suspect intentionally drove directly at officers, nearly striking one of the officers on foot.
As the suspect fled the area, two Sergeants in marked patrol cars quickly located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it. The suspect refused to yield to the officers’ that were pursuing him with their red lights and sirens activated. Due to the excessive speed of the suspect vehicle, the lead patrol supervisor in the pursuit soon lost sight of the car as the suspect turned westbound on Helena Ave from Taft St.
The suspect vehicle ran the stop sign at Helena and Del Paso Blvd, approximately one half mile from his original contact with officers, and struck a truck that was traveling southbound Del Paso Blvd. Immediately after impact, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by responding officers.
The female passenger of the truck was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the truck was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Both victims are area residents.
The suspect was also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has now been booked in to jail. Brown, a 19-year-old male adult, was arrested for numerous felony charges to include his felony arrest warrant, assault on an officer, felony evading, and vehicular manslaughter and is not eligible for bail .
