Victim Issued Protective Order Following Elk Grove Domestic Violence Incident

A domestic violence victim was issued an emergency protective order last night following an Elk Grove incident.

According to Elk Grove Police, 43-year old Daniel Valencia was in a verbal argument with his victim that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the incident, the suspect allegedly threw a mason jar at the victim, and punched the victim in the face and arm resulting in visible injuries.

Valencia was arrested and remains in custody on $80,000 bail at the county jail.
