Elk Grove Police arrested suspects in two separate domestic violence incidents yesterday.
According to police reports, 43-year old Shawn Moppin of Elk Grove was involved in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, Moppin allegedly knocked a phone out of victim's hands then choked, twisted the victim's hand and slapped the face.
The alleged attacked continued when the suspect the choked the victim a second time. Moppin then fled the residence on foot before officers arrived.
The victim suffered visible injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. Officers later located Moppin a short distance away from the residence and was arrested. He remains in custody at the county jail on a $50,000 bail.
In the second incident, police arrested 39-year old Yeu Melissa Lo of Elk Grove after she allegedly ripper her victim's shirt and poked him in the eye resulting in a visible injury. Lo was arrested and booked into the county jail and has been released on bail.
