Elk Grove Police made arrests on Tuesday for domestic violence and impaired driving.
Arrested on suspicion of domestic violence was 65-year old Mercedes Hoffman of Elk Grove. Hoffman allegedly struck her victim in the face several times resulting in visible injuries.
On Tuesday night 36-year old Jamie Hawke was operating a motor vehicle that was involved in a collision with a fixed object near Grant Line and Beitzel roads. Officers and medical personnel arrived and contacted Hawke who was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
Officers reportedly located a bottle of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. The suspect was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment and while at the hospital was arrested, issued a misdemeanor citation and released in order to receive treatment.
