Elk Grove Man in Custody After Allegedly Passing Fake Money


An Elk Grove man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly tried to pass counterfeit money.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, 28-year old Devin Andrew George entered a restaurant on the 9200 block of Laguna Springs Drive and attempted to pay for his order with a counterfeit $100 bill. Responding officers discovered that George was on probation. 

George was arrested, booked into the county jail where he is being held on $30,000 bail and will be arraigned this afternoon.
