Elk Grove Police Arrests Car Thief Suspect After Short Vehicle, Foot Pursuit

Elk Grove Police arrested a Sacramento man after a short vehicle and foot pursuit yesterday morning.



In the first incident, 20-year old Jordan Greendahl of Sacramento was observed driving a car near Elk Grove Boulevard and School Street that was reported stolen. When officers initiated an enforcement stop, Greendahl  did not yield and led officers on a 1.2 mile pursuit. 

Greendahl  exited the moving vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. The suspect was taken into custody by officers and the stolen vehicle came to rest on a retaining wall. 

Greendahl was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $80,000 bail. He is being charged with motor theft, reckless driving and violating probation.
