A 20-year old man sustained knife wounds Tuesday afternoon after he was robbed at an Elk Grove park.
According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was at Beeman Park near the Elk Grove Senior Center on Sharkey Avenue when he was confronted by an unknown assailant. The assailant pulled out a knife and assaulted the victim causing lacerations to the chin, arm and back.
After assaulting the victim, the assailant took his property and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult.
