Suspected Credit Card Thieves Apprehended at Elk Grove Retailer

Elk Grove Police arrested two suspects Sunday afternoon after they allegedly tried to purchase goods with a stolen credit card at an area retailer.
According to police reports, 38-year old Michael Henderson and 32-Alvina Leon, both of Stockton, went to the Toys R Us store on Bond Road to pick-up a purchase they made online with a stolen credit card. Upon entry, they were greeted by Elk Grove Police officers who immediately detained them.

The owner of the credit card was contacted and indicated that he did not know the suspects, nor did he give them permission to use his card. A records check revealed that Leon had two active warrants out for her arrest.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail. While at the jail, Henderson was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was charged with bringing a controlled substance into a jail facility.

Leon is being held on a total of $60,000 bail from Stockton and Elk Grove Police. Henderson is facing five felony charges and is being held on $565,000 bail.
