A 23-year old man was mugged and robbed yesterday afternoon as he walked along an Elk Grove bike trail.
According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was on the trail near Laguna Creek drive and Rancho Drive when he was approached by three unknown suspects. One of the suspect pointed an imitation firearm at the victim and took off his beanie off his head.
A second suspect stole a iPhone and ear buds from the victims shirt, and then all three fled on foot. The victim was not injured during the mugging.
The suspect brandishing the imitation gun was described as a Hispanic male adults, 19 to 20 years old, 6' 0", heavyset wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was also described as a Hispanic male, 18-19 years of age, skinny, wearing a gray baseball cap and blue jeans.

Really ??? it would be ok if you were pushed to the ground as your beanie was ripped of your head and ear buds pulled out of your ears along with your iPod. ...? Wow ...alot was left out of this story...there were 3 attackers.
Lived in elk grove for 20 years, this does not happen to often near the fallbrook neighborhood, but this time it did, and it was during the day time. Please be safe and be prepared as you walk alone, carry a cell phone, pepper spray etc. This person was pushed to the ground and his items stolen. The attackers tried to get more from him.
