Stockton Man Arrested on Marijuana Possession, Sales Charges by Elk Grove Police

A Stockton man was arrested Tuesday night on possession and sales of marijuana charges after he created a traffic hazard.
According to Elk Grove Police, 19-year old Ghanton Thornton was operating a vehicle that caused a traffic hazard at Laguna Boulvedard and LagunaSpring Drive. Thornton stopped his vehicle at the intersection without and headlights and when officers tried to conduct a vehcicle stop, he fled.

When he finally stopped, officers detained him and officers observed marijuana packaged for sales in plain view on the backseat and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of three open containers of alcoholic beverages. Thornton was arrested then transported to the main jail.where he was subsequently released on bail.
