A Sacramento man was arrested Friday afternoon after he was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and marijuana for distribution.
According to Elk Grove Police, 26-year old Rhyan Thomas was stopped for a vehicle code infraction on the 8200 block of Laguna Blvd. Upon contact, officers smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
After detaining Thomas, a vehicle search led to the discovery of a loaded stolen handgun and marijuana. The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail with charges including possession of a stolen gun and sale and distribution of marijuana.
