An Elk Grove mother was arrested yesterday afternoon after she allegedly left her child in an unlocked car.
According to Elk Grove Police officers responded to a call regarding a young child left unattended in a car in a parking lot on the 7500 block of Laguna Blvd. Officers discovered the child in an unlocked car with the windows rowed up and buckled in his car seat.
Officers removed the child from the car and after about 20 minutes 29-year old Diana Stacey returned to the car. Stacey was arrested on child endangerment charges and taken to the county jail.
