For three Sacramento women, a presumptive toy shopping trip landed them in the county jail last night.
According to Elk Grove Police, the three suspects were observed shoplifting by other shoppers at the Toys R Us store on Bond Road. The trio left the store without paying and were seen leaving the parking lot in a gold colored vehicle.
Responding officers able to locate the vehicle and made an enforcement stop. After detaining the suspects, a vehicle search revealed the alleged stolen merchandise.
Officers arrested 21-year old Tranice Smith, 25-year old Valonda Lyles and 28-year old Maequiesha Wright. All three were arrested and booked into the county jail.
