Fatal Shooting in South Sacramento Investigated

At approximately 7:00 p.m. last night Sacramento Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of gunshots fired in the 8100 block of Ingleside Way. Callers reported numerous gunshots being heard, but no description of any suspects associated with the shooting was given.


Upon arrival, deputies discovered a Hispanic male adult, 41 years of age, lying motionless in the driveway of a residence. He was on the ground outside of a vehicle, and sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Deputies were canvassing the neighborhood in an attempt to gain any information about the shooting. No information regarding anybody leaving the scene after the shooting was available. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115, Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP, or send a text message tip to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification has been made to next of kin.
