Trio Arrested by EGPD For Stealing Car, Drugs

Also found with burglary tools, stolen checks

An alert Elk Grove officer was able to apprehend and arrest three suspect early Thursday morning on a variety of charges.

According to police department reports, an officer observed a reported stolen vehicle near Bond Road and E. Stockton Blvd. being driven by 27-uear-old Sanjeet Singh of Elk Grove. Officers conducted an enforcement stop detaining Singh and 48-year-old Babyrose Isip and 22-year-old Brittany Sharp, both of Sacramento.

The registered owner of the vehicle arrived and confirmed that Singh did not have permission to have the vehicle. A records check revealed that Singh also had an active warrant out for his arrest.

Upon contact, Singh reportedly displayed objective signs of impairment. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics behind the front passenger seat.

Officers determined that narcotics belonged to Isip. A search of a purse belonging to Sharp led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia, burglary tools (shaved key) and two checks not in her name.

All three suspects were arrested then transferred to the county jail.
