An Elk Grove Man was arrested last night on suspicion of drunk driving and fleeing the scene of an accident.
According to police reports a witness called police after they witnessed 23-year old Mohamed Khan driving erratically and pull into a parking lot on the 4900 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. The witness said they saw Khan stagger from his car and enter a nearby store.
Upon contact with police officers, Khan reportedly displayed signs of impairment. Officers also determined that the suspect had been involved in a accident and had fled the scene. Khan was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
In other activity, police also arrested 48-year old Brian Jones of Sacramento following a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant.
