EG Police Arrest Parolee, Probationer in Separate Incidents

Two men, one on parole and the other on probation, apparently have not learned their lessons and look to be headed to prison.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, 33-year old Darrell Wright of Sacramento was arrested at a disturbance near Laguna Boulevard and Laguna Spring Drive yesterday afternoon. responding officers detained Wright and found that he was a parolee at large.

A search of his vehicle led to the discovery of marijuana and narcotics. Wright was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Police also arrested 23-year old Nicholas Vanmeter of Elk Grove on the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road last night after he was observed casing vehicles. After contacting Vanmeter, a known probationer, police determined he displayed objective signs of being under the influence of narcotics.

Vanmeterer was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Elk Grove Teen Arrested for Possession of Stolen Gun, Weed

An Elk Grove teenager was arrested yesterday morning following a probation search of a passenger search in his vehicle.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, a 17-year old male was operating a vehicle near Caldicot Drive and Maranello Drive with two other individuals, one of who was known to be on a searchable probation. The 17-year old driver stopped the vehicle after being contacted by an officer.

A narcotics sniff of of the suspect's car was conducted by a K-9 unit that led to the discovery of marijuana. A further search of the vehicle revealed the discovery of a stolen loaded semi-automatic handgun. The suspect was arrested and transferred to juvenile hall.

Elk Grove Man Make Threats While Packing Heat

An Elk Grove man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police officers found he was in possession of a loaded gun.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, officers responded to a call regarding a verbal dispute on the 9200 block of Bruceville Road. Responding officers found 26-year old Toure Clark of Elk Grove in front of the location.

A search of Clark led to the discovery of a loaded firearm. Based on an interview of the person making the call, officers determined that the suspect had made credible threat to harm the caller.

Clark was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
