Elk Grove Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Elder Abuse

An Elk Grove woman was arrested Thursday afternoon following an incident where she allegedly left an elderly person locked out of her residence.


According to Elk Grove Police, 61-year old Carolina Munar, a paid primary care-giver, kicked out and locked out her 66-year old female victim from here residence. The victim was reportedly left outside in her pajamas in 91-degree weather without here walker. 

As a result of Munar's alleged, her victim was denied of proper shelter, access to food, water, facilities and her medication. The suspect further delayed her return to the residence after two calls from an officer advising her to return home to care for the victim. 

The was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. Munar was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse.
