Elk Grove Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests, Discovery of Stolen Goods

An early Wednesday traffic stop led to the arrests of four suspects and the discovery of stolen property.


According to Elk Grove Police, 19-year old Jose Perez of Sacramento was operating a car that was stopped for a motor vehicle code violation on Highway 99 near Sheldon Road. A records check revealed Perez was on probation and did not have a drivers license.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of stolen goods. Perez and three other suspects, 23-year old Juan Ruelas, 19-year old Juan Ruelas and a 15-year old male juvenile male, all of Sacramento were arrested.

Perez remain in custody for violating his parole.
