A bicyclist was assaulted early Wednesday morning in Elk Grove.
According to Elk Grove Police, the 25-year old male victim was riding his bike when he rode past three unknown suspects near Bond Road and Whittemore Drive. One of the suspects pushed the victim off his bike while another pushed his head into the ground causing a injury to his eyebrow.
The suspects then attempted to steal the victims wallet who resisted and the suspects fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
The suspects were described as being two Hispanic males and one Caucasian male between the ages of 17 and 20.
