Elk Grove Domestic Violence Victim Allegedly Stabbed in Hand

An Elk Grove woman is in custody after she allegedly stabbed her victim in the hand in a Monday afternoon domestic violence incident.

According to Elk Grove Police, 25-year old Luisa Maria Marquez was inside a vehicle when she was engaged with her victim in a verbal argument. As the argument escalated, the victim left the car, then reached inside to unlock the door when Marquez allegedly grabbed the victim's hand and stabbed it several times.

The victim sustained visible injuries and the responding officers arrested Marquez. The suspect is in custody at the county on a $50,00 facing three felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
