Police Arrest Suspect in Early Morning Bait Bike Sting

A suspect was arrested in a bait bike sting conducted by Sacramento Police.

According to police reports, officers responded to the 1500 block of West El Camino at 1:42 a.m. today regarding the report of a bait bike activation. Officers quickly arrived on scene and located the suspect, Byron Scott Scoggins, 32, in possession of the stolen bike. 

Scoggins was safely detained and ultimately arrested for grand theft, possession of stolen property, and a probation violation. He is being held on a $90,000 bail.
