Woman Insists On Having Smoke Before Arrest, Taken To Ground by EGPD

A Sacramento woman who was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant was arrested after refusing to follow police commands.


According to Elk Grove Police, 22-year old Jade Edward Mainor was operating a car that was stopped for a vehicle code violation near Calvine Road and Sheldon North Drive. A records search revealed that the suspect had a suspended license and a warrant for her arrest.

After being instructed to exit the car, Mainor insisted on having a cigarette and refused to follow instructions. Officers then physically removed the suspect from the car and taken to the ground.

The suspect remains in custody at the county jail on three charges and $21,500 bail.
