Elk Grove Police Seek Seek Help Locating At-Risk Person

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating an at risk missing person, 82-year-old Robert Grappi, who suffers from medical conditions requiring regular medication and possibly dementia.


Robert Grappi was last seen yesterday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. at his Elk Grove residence. Grappi left his residence after a verbal argument with his wife and was believed to be driving to his son’s residence in Nevada County.

Robert Grappi is described as a Caucasian male adult, 5’9”, 142 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes. Grappi was wearing a black jacket over a white t-shirt and blue sweat pants and routinely wears an American flag or other patriotic items on his shirt and was driving a 1998 Toyota RAV4 (CA plate ATSAOK2).

Earlier this morning, there were charges made to Mr. Grappi’s credit card at two gas stations in the Grass Valley area. Authorities in the Grass Valley area have been notified about this activity.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Robert Grappi is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 691-5246.
